Couple things..
Drink half your body weight in ounces per day. A 200 pound person should consume 100 ounces per day to stay hydrated.
Consume equal parts water to caffeinated beverages. 8 Oz of Coffee = 8 Oz of water above and beyond your normal intake
Dehydrated people often mix the signals for hunger and thirst. If you drink water when you want to eat and wait 15 minutes you may find you are simply thirsty and your mind is just telling your body it needs intake. People who switch to this method will probably lose 20 pounds over a year
